Quick Guide: How to Clear Tracks on Your Garmin Marine Display (Cobalt R-Series)
Clearing your saved tracks is a great way to tidy up your navigation screen and ensure you’re only seeing the most relevant route data. If you’re on a Cobalt R-Series with a Garmin Marine display, here is a simple, step-by-step guide on how to clear your active track.
Step-by-Step Instructions
This process is quick and easy, taking only a few taps on your touchscreen display.
1. Tap “Where To”
From your main chart screen, look along the bottom menu and tap the “Where To” icon. This will bring up your main navigation and user data menu.
2. Select “Tracks”
In the “Where To” menu, you will see a list of options. Tap on “Tracks.”
3. Choose “Clear Active Tracks”
In the Tracks menu, select “Clear Active Tracks.” This option deletes all the recorded points in your current active track log.
4. Confirm by Tapping “OK”
A confirmation window will pop up asking if you want to delete all points in the active track log. Tap “OK” to proceed with clearing the track data.
5. Exit the Menus
Once the track is cleared:
* Tap “Back” to return to the previous menu.
* Tap “Close” (or “X”) to exit the menus and return to your main chart screen.
Your active track is now cleared, leaving your display clean and ready for your next adventure on the water.
