The company’s first hull was designed to create a smaller, cleaner pull for tournament skiing. As wakeboarding grew, MasterCraft developed the XStar around the needs of that new sport, and it later became an early leader in integrated surf technology. Today the boats are designed and built at the company’s headquarters in Vonore, Tennessee, with a lineup that covers tournament skiing, wakeboarding, and wakesurfing.

MasterCraft combines purpose-built hulls and tow systems with the seating, storage, helm technology, towers, racks, and audio equipment a dedicated riding crew uses throughout the day. Different models place the emphasis in different places, from precise ski wakes to larger surf waves and roomy family interiors.
