Job Title: Service Technician (An experienced technician is preferred but we will consider training the right candidate that brings their talents and ‘can do’ attitude too!)
Department: Service Department/Shop
Reports To: Service Manager
Compensation: Base plus commission (on performance).
Benefits: Health insurance and paid time off.
Type: Full-time, typically 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday – Saturday, (May be required to work overtime at times).

Description: Based in Houston and Lake Conroe, TX. Rinker’s Boat World is a well-established, family owned company since 1978, that is a full service premier boat dealership who services and serves the whole greater Houston area and on the shores of Lake Conroe. Rinker’s remains a 5-star rated boat dealership due to our superb customer service, which is one of our main objectives. We are looking for a professional to work as a full-time technician in the field, able to service all brands of our boats (Supra, Cobalt, Moomba, Sylvan and Sea Hunt), as well as, Volvo, Mercruiser, Indmar and Yamaha engines. Your responsibility will be to repair customer’s boats, while applying excellent workmanship and meeting effective time restraints/deadlines in the utilization of maximum productivity. Generally, you will make sure the company is well represented in the field and the quality of the work meets the company’s standards. Minimum Requirements:
- Follow a daily schedule to obtain designated/assigned tasks for the day.
- Repair and test boats to confirm problems.
- Technician needed for repair and rigging on both new and pre-owned boats.
- Detail oriented with good analytical problem-solving.
- Mechanically inclined, good with hands and tools.
- Follows manufacturer's warranty policies and procedures for all warranty work.
- Responsible, reliable and trustworthy. Must have good work ethics and ability to self-manage.
- Ensures cleanliness of customer’s boat.
- Sweeps and maintains a clean neat workstation.
- Performs other related duties on a need to be basis.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Wears appropriate safety/protective gear at all times.
- Fast pace environment.
